about
This is my first pony track and I'm fairly pleased with how it came out. I was inspired to cover this song after hearing it the week my grandpa died. It just seemed fitting to start there.
I remastered this track a little bit so that it wasn't so quiet.
lyrics
Crushing silence, an endless void
The last little light in a life so devoid
These are the memories you struggle to keep
As history's lost to eternal sleep
Months turn to regretful years
And all you can do is try to face your fears
Don't be worried, you're not alone now,
You can live on, and you know how
Now pick yourself up off the ground, dry your tears
Remember the times you had the past few years
You know that everyone is still with you
So don't let sorrow destroy you
Mourne your friend, but don't let your spirit die today
For those who've passed away
Ages later, you recall back
To a snow white filly who saw nothing but black
Mild mannered, with a voice so shy
A beautiful face you couldn't stand to see cry
Ghosts of winter pass by your eyes,
on their lazy way down from the hazy skies
Walk back inside, wish that you could pretend, that you're
Off to send a letter to your long lost friend
Now pick yourself up off the ground, dry your tears
Remember the times you had the past few years
You know that everyone is still with you
So don't let sorrow destroy you
Mourne your friend, but don't let your spirit die today
For those who've passed away
